Plant Modeling for New Advanced Level Users

IDA ICE Plant modeling course for new Advanced level users: 
8-9 April 2025 

Following up on the demand on this extensive Plant modeling course, dedicated for new plant modelers, anouther course takes place online in April 2025.
We will start both days at 8:15, taking 1.5 days, until 12:30 (CET) in Wednesday. The official released version of IDA 5.1 will be used.


The course is set at beginner/intermediate level. It is dedicated to everyone that wishes to learn about the details of plant tailoring, with hands-on prepared  exercises, live examples, tries and errors explained.

 

Planned course content and schedule division:

Day 1, morning: Basics of a plant. Getting familiar with:

  • modeling principles and differences,
  • the basic- and the ESBO plant types, 
  • the most significant modules of the Palette,
  • connections and common configurations in sub-plant level.

Day 1, afternoon: Intro to plant design. 

  • combined systems practice,
  • e.g. solar thermal and heat pumps, water tank examples.

Day 2:  Plant design cont.

  • more advanced level modeling examples,
  • e.g. controls  over the plant
  • built and simulated full systems within one building.
