Advanced façade modelling

Modern façades are surprisingly complex. To design, evaluate and optimize these façades you need a good understanding of building physics but also detailed simulation models. In this course we will model and optimize several advanced façade types using IDA ICE, for example:

• Curtain wall systems
• Double skin facades
• Natural ventilation
• Realistic shading controls
• Shading sensor placement
• Spectral glass and reflective shading systems
• Complex geometrical shadings
