Online - Plant Modelling 1,2,3
Requirements
It is expected that the course participants…
- … have gained experience in the use of IDA ICE to investigate the dynamic behaviour of individual rooms in specific building projects and ...
- … know the knowledge imparted in the basic course and refresh it for individual course preparation.
- Lesson 1 (Tank):
In the first part of the IDA ICE Advanced Plant course you will be introduced to plant modelling in IDA ICE. You will learn how to use the model for a stratified water tank, how the model behaves in its different modes, how to add heat generation circuits to the stratified tank and how to control them.
- Lesson 2 and 3 (Plant):
In this lesson you will learn how to model a plant from scratch. Well, not completely from scratch: We use a real heating schematic as the basis for our simulation model. This helps to ensure that the customer quickly recognizes his system. But we can also model as closely as possible to reality and check, among other things, whether the planned control of the system works. In this guided exercise we go through the following:
- Adding a (template) plant to the palette
- Importing a heating schematic as modelling template
- Creating and adding frequently used macros to the palette, such as energy meters
- Control switching between operating points
- Using boreholes as heat source for a heatpump and as heat sink for cooling
- Using district heating as secondary heat source for DHW, AHU and zone heating
- Presentation of the plant and it’s controls to the customer in a simple and understandable way.
