LEED in IDA ICE

The major energy modelling credit in LEED is based on the Building Performance Rating Method described in the standard ASHRAE 90.1. The method compares the energy cost of the Proposed building with a Baseline building defined by the standard. Generating the Baseline building is labour-intensive but in an IDA ICE add-in this process has been automated. Based on the Proposed building and some general configuration the Baseline building is generated, sized, simulated and reported.
