Have you ever thought of that the U-value of the window glazing is not constant over the year? And that traditional window models neglects short wave radiation escaping the room through windows?Setting the properties and selecting modelling approach for windows and their glazing is one of the most essential decision to make in a simulation project. The glazing selection has a big impact e.g. to the daylight levels and energy usage of artificial light.
To make a good glazing selection it is essential to take heating and cooling design, as well as energy needs into account.
