IDA ICE intermediate course in Denmark

The purpose of the course is to provide knowledge about more advanced functions in IDA ICE that will help Danish engineers to be more efficient and more accurate in their modelling.

  • Joint walkthroughs will be combined with exercises in which you will work on, among other things, the following elements:
    Zone model fidelity - How do they differ, and when should each one be used?
    • Energy, Climate, Climate (with stratification)
    • Brief walkthrough of the CFD extension in IDA ICE
  • Introduction to the new Danish localization, indoor climate and daylight - the 300 Lux method
  • BIM import, by IFC
  • Using and understanding pre-defined controls (e.g. P and PI) for different applications such as ventilation, heating, cooling etc.
  • Create your own custom control, e.g. for window opening
  • Create a custom control using air speed or draught rate as set point
  • How to model outdoor compensation for supply air temperature setpoint
  • Introduction to parametric runs
